Production

Production manufacturing ranging from individual custom parts to larger production orders.

Consulting

Additive manufacturing consulting, material selection, troubleshooting, process improvement, workflow development, and technical training.

Our capabilities include FDM 3D printing, custom part design, CAD design and modification, design for additive manufacturing, prototype development, functional parts, replacement parts, fixtures, manufacturing aids, rigid components, flexible components, multi-color printing, production manufacturing, material selection, and additive manufacturing consulting.

We can manufacture an individual custom part or support larger production orders depending on part size, geometry, material, quantity, and delivery requirements.

FDM 3D Printing

We offer professional Fused Deposition Modeling, FDM, 3D printing services for prototyping, functional applications, custom products, and production.

Digital Design to Physical Part

FDM manufacturing allows digital designs to be converted directly into physical components using a variety of thermoplastic materials.

Applications

Applications can include functional prototypes, brackets, mounting components, housings, enclosures, fixtures, manufacturing aids, replacement parts, custom products, educational models, and production components.

Projects can range from one custom component to large production quantities.

Design Services

Do not have a 3D model yet? We can help.

Hakimos Additive Manufacturing offers 3D design and design modification services to help turn an idea, sketch, existing component, photograph, or set of dimensions into a manufacturable part.

We can create new 3D models, modify existing CAD files, adjust dimensions, add mounting features, holes, text, or logos, redesign components for FDM manufacturing, and prepare models for additive manufacturing.

Our design services can also support prototype development, replacement parts, product development, and design optimization for manufacturability.

Materials

We offer several material options depending on the strength, flexibility, temperature resistance, environmental exposure, appearance, and intended application of the part.

PLA

PLA is a reliable general-purpose material suitable for prototypes, models, display parts, educational models, fixtures, and many standard applications.

PETG

PETG provides good strength, toughness, and moisture resistance. It is suitable for functional components, brackets, housings, fixtures, prototypes, and many end-use applications.

ABS

ABS is a durable engineering thermoplastic with good toughness and improved temperature resistance. It can be used for functional components, mechanical parts, housings, fixtures, and other applications requiring increased durability.

ASA

ASA provides good mechanical properties along with excellent UV and weather resistance. It is particularly useful for outdoor parts and components exposed to sunlight or environmental conditions.

TPU

TPU is a flexible, rubber-like thermoplastic suitable for parts that need to bend, compress, cushion, or absorb impact. It can be used for grips, cushions, pads, protective components, wearable products, flexible joints, impact-absorbing structures, lattice structures, soft interfaces, ergonomic products, flexible covers, and other custom flexible components.

Additional materials may be available depending on the requirements of the project.

About Us

Hakimos Additive Manufacturing provides professional additive manufacturing, FDM 3D printing, engineering design, prototyping, production, and consulting services.

The company is led by an engineer with approximately 10 years of hands-on experience in additive manufacturing, 3D printing, manufacturing, research, and engineering applications.

The owner holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering with expertise in Industrial and Systems Engineering and extensive research and professional experience in additive manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, quality engineering, and manufacturing systems.

This combination of engineering knowledge and practical manufacturing experience allows Hakimos Additive Manufacturing to approach projects from both an engineering and production perspective.

We do more than simply manufacture a submitted file. We can assist customers with design, material selection, manufacturability, print orientation, functionality, process considerations, and production planning.

Our goal is to help customers move efficiently from an idea or digital design to a finished physical product.
